Diaper Style Benefits
Cloth Diaper Style Benefits
AIO ~ The benefits of this style is they are just like using disposable diapers!!! These are awesome for outings, when others might be changing baby and so forth. The down side of these is they do take the longest to dry (normally 2 complete dry cycles on hot) of all the diapers. Your also not able to adjust absorbency in them if need be. Such as more for over night/long naps vs day time use.
Pocket AIO ~ The benefits of these are while you do have to stuff in the soaker material. If you pre stuff them before leaving home or before putting them away. They again are just like a disposable diaper for ease of use. However they do dry quicker since they are a pocket diaper (normally 1 complete dry cycle on hot) and your able to adjust absorbancy.
Fitted diaper ~ Other then needing a cover these are self contained. They normally dry in about the same amount of time as an AIO. Also you can't adjust absorbency.
Fitted pocket ~ Again these require a cover. However these dry super super quick!! Normally in LESS then 1 dry cycle with the exception of maybe the soakers. These can be hung dry as well as the covers. So you would only need to dry the soaker pads or you could air dry those as well. I would recommend drying atleast the soakers though. The pads will of course take longer then the rest of the diaper. The only cons I see with this diaper is having to stuff a pocket AND put on a cover. So its a bit longer of a process
Prefolds ~ These do require not only a cover but need to folded. As well as choosing a closure method such as a Snappi or diaper pin. These are the cheapest method of cloth diapers.
Covers ~ These come in fleece, solid PUL or printed. If your using a PUL cover rather then a fleece cover. You can just wipe off after each use and let it air dry. Rotating a couple covers all day during diaper changes
